Buy Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry Trees for sale at Advanced Nursery Growers in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry is a productive, easy-to-grow fruit tree that offers the delicious flavor of fresh mulberries on a much more manageable plant than many traditional mulberry trees. Its smaller size makes it an excellent choice for North Florida home orchards, edible landscapes, food forests, and smaller yards.
The berries begin green, develop red coloration, and mature to dark purple-black when fully ripe. Ripe fruit is soft, juicy, and sweet and can be eaten fresh from the tree or used for jams, jellies, pies, cobblers, smoothies, juice, syrup, wine, and preserves.
One of the biggest advantages of Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry is its extended fruiting habit. Depending on weather and growing conditions, established plants may produce several flushes of fruit during the growing season.
Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry also responds extremely well to pruning, making it easy to maintain at a comfortable picking height.
Plant Details:
North Florida Growing Note:
Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry is an excellent fruiting plant for North Florida. UF/IFAS specifically recommends Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry as a smaller alternative to full-sized mulberry trees and notes that mulberries are well adapted to Florida weather.
Plant in full sun and well-drained soil for the best fruit production. Once established, mulberries are tough, low-maintenance trees that tolerate Southern heat well.
Pruning for Size & Fruit Production:
Light pruning can help keep the fruit within easy reach and maintain a compact plant. Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry can also be grown as a multi-stemmed shrub.
When pruning for fruit production, prune between major fruiting flushes rather than constantly removing new growth.
Pollination Recommendation:
Dwarf Everbearing Mulberry is self-fruiting, so a second tree is not required for fruit production.
This makes it an especially good option for customers with limited space who want to grow only one mulberry.
Fruit & Planting Location Note:
Fully ripe mulberries are dark, juicy, and can stain pavement, patios, sidewalks, vehicles, and other surfaces. We recommend planting away from driveways and heavily traveled paved areas.
Birds are also very attracted to ripe mulberries and may share the harvest.
